opening for JOHN REISCHMAN

Christin Hyshka is a Canadian folk roots singer-songwriter with a unique voice and music that has something to say.  A heartfelt, honest, and fun-loving performer his songs tell meaningful stories that mirror the experiences of his listeners lives.  Christin grew up in rural Manitoba listening to Neil Young, Dylan and Steve Earl and was greatly influenced by the imagery these artists depict through their song writing.  He now resides in Edmonton Alberta where he recorded his debut album “The First Word”.    The albums debut single, “Modern Sons” is an emotional depiction of what it means to grow up with the expectation of continuing the family farm only to follow your own path to the city.  This song will pull at the heartstrings of anyone who grew up in the country.
