Generations
Generations celebrates the musical roots of Edmonton’s folk community as songs and stories pass from parent to child and onward again. Four remarkable musical families share one stage for an evening of connection and tradition. Wendy Gregson joins daughter Renee McLachlin and granddaughter Ruby with music from their beautiful Mother Tree album, alongside folk veteran Gord Matthews and his son Travis. The second set features acclaimed songwriter Billie Zizi with her father, world-travelled fiddler Cam Neufeld and his gypsy-trail inspired Road to Django, joined by rising artist Kaiya Kodie performing with her multi-instrumentalist father Jason. One night. Four families. Music carried across generations.

Led by award‑winning songwriter and multi‑instrumentalist Tara Dunphy (tin whistle, flute, fiddle, guitar, banjo, vocals) and acclaimed fiddler/vocalist Lindsay Schindler, they’re backed by a powerhouse rhythm section of Andrew Kosty (bass) and Kenneth Palmer (guitar).
